I wouldn't be surprised if the next 'Survivor' is only Mexicans and the winner gets US citizenship I think reality TV needs to work harder to exploit ethnic minorities. It needs to take that extra step to become completely morally bankrupt.

On the other hand i would quite enjoy a battle royal TV show. like Big Brother but with chainsaws. sweeeet

At first glance, I think the fact that they're turning the life and death of humans into a game is a bit disturbing.

Though on second thoughts, the terminally ill patient would be giving up their kidney either way, and seeing as how it's their own kidney, they might like the choice of choosing who it goes to.

The only down side is how the evicted might feel after they've been given a shred of hope (at life, might I add), and then had it yanked away. Also what's the host gonna say when they've been voted out? "Sorry, no life for you!"

awww sweet, if the romans could enjoy pitting human againt human for entertaintment, we certainly can ...but back to zombies, we could have a TV show where we put 10 humans with limited supplies in a zombie infested enviroment, and! if they survive (by escaping) we give them a shiney new car

But seriously,the problem with this kinda thing is that even tho some good will come out of it, it does in a sense, make serious issues a bit trivial. Sure the winner's life will get saved or they become American (yay?), but im not sure if the end justifies the means, if that makes sense. As evil said, giving false hope is gonna make people's lives worse but then again maybe in the end all that matters IS the end result. hmmm im confused

Anyway all i know is that i would feel really bad if i actually enjoyed a show where life is the prize...unless zombies were involved ofcourse. i can imagine people barracking for someone and actually celebrating when their person stayed on the show for another week, leaving another to an ensured early death. i know that will happen and i think it sums up what TV is willing to do to get ratings.
