That is quite good, though you have to think about it. Loz, look at the individual lines more closely (a few times), and you should start to understand it. It took me a few minutes to get properly.

okay i reread it and kinda get some of it but get confused by the second half of it.. whats with the grandfather bit? :S

I think I understand it, but I don't see a great deal of beauty in it; so maybe I don't *shrug*.
My understanding is this Maurice fella doesn't have much happening in his life no love and a job he doesn't enjoy, he's contemplated suicide but feels that he should keep living regardless. I think the grandfather bit is saying his granddad went a long time until he retired and he might end up doing the same, not die nor quit. |
