The newly released album by the Finnish band titled "Worlds Collide" not only contains the group's own genius of metal/gothic music with cellos, but also an array of songs containing several special guests. Guests include Lacuna Coil's lead singer Christina Scabbia, Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace), and Till Lindemann from Rammstein.

The album is produced by Jacob Hellner, who has also produced albums for Rammstein.

The album starts off with their main single, "I'm not Jesus" featuring Slipnot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor.

The mix of cellos complimented by other instruments create a sound that is not only hard but in some ways soft over a range of tempos. This generates variety and shows off their own unique sound.

With their originality aided by the collaboration with many artists from other well established bands makes for another great album to add to Apocalyptica's collection.

Besides.... no one else can play metal with cellos like they can right?

I give this album 4 Rantys out of 5. biggrin.gif

Has anyone else listened to it? If so, what are your thoughts eh?

For a chance to sample their music visit their myspace and their official website
