In another topic, one of our users brought up the topic of censorship. For anyone interested, that topic can be located here. I'm glad that it was brought up, because I feel I should say something public about that.

While we feel that censorship really is an ugly color, we feel that it is far more important to be able to provide a warm, accepting, comfortable, ridicule free environment that allows users to rant and seek advice without fear - which is one of the main missions that ISFAT was born with.

Having said that, however... In order for censorship to occur, there needs to be something to censor. 99% of the things we'll be deleting will be one liner off topic brain-gobwash with no opinion, no contribution to the topic at hand, stuff that just serves to drain a topic of any meaning whatsoever. Posts that don't constructively will most likely be removed. These types of posts include, but aren't limited to: insults, off topic discussion, private conversations in public threads, and any type of post that is not respective to the author of an ISFAT.

And don't forget... often these posts won't be deleted, just moved into the Bored Section to clean up the ISFAT topics -- as suggested in the first post of the linked topic.

Posts won't be deleted in the Bored Section the same way they will be in ISFAT topics. It will only be exercised under rare situations, as I've got no problem with healthy bickering and people going off topic in the Bored Section, because that's why the Bored Section subforum was created - to keep that kind of stuff out of the ISFAT topics.

Some of the posts in many topics have gotten out of hand. With censorship, the crap, brain-gobwash, pamela-anderson-like-trash, unconceivably-random-till-my-head-falls-off and I-walk-around-blind-till-I-fall-off-a-cliff-to-my-gravely-death, more-annoying-than-Gretel-Kileen, where was I?
It's all crap lately, and me and evil are fed up with it. This place was once nice and oddly relevent, but more recently the quality of some of the posts have gone downhill. I'm not saying that all the crap is bad...there is good crap too. I'm bored with the bad crap, and it's almost become a pain to read through all the posts. I really don't want this feeling to continue and I feel we're making the right descision on this one.
