Recently my media teacher asked me if I knew of any amazing Australian films to study as a media next year...HELP!!!

Please gimme some suggestions Fatters!

Well, I'm not certain what clasifies as 'amazing', but the first thing on my list would be The Castle

Malcom, bad eggs, Hercules returns; check those ones out. Actually Malcom would be really good to study.

Rabbit Proof Fence would be your best bet.

Lantana..... yes... is icky in some places but is quite easy to understand or study

The castle is an awesome fun movie but it would be boring to study. I'd pick Lantanna, it has a lot of that sort of complicated shooting style and visual imagery throughout it: every shot is chosen for a reason, perfect for media.

yes lantana would be awesome to study as a media text. i also happened to study "the castle" for english in year 11. It actually wasnt boring to study at all, especially for the guys in my class who loved to quote the swear words from the film into their essays. It was all a good laugh just the same.
